Can I get a couple of fist pumps up in here?! It is that time again. It is time for Jersey Shore to make its appearance back on our television screens. This is a show that I love to hate for many reasons. First of all MTV is paying this motley crew to hang out in a super nice house on the beach and drink until they are hammered and do something stupid. Why did this opportunity never come up for me? Second of all there is Mike “The Situation” who is trolling around all the clubs and bars on the shore for girls at all times. This man is never not looking for someone to hook up with. It is quite comical to watch girls turn him down. That is secretly my favorite part of the show. My other favorite part of the show is the back and forth between Sammy and Ronnie. If there’s one thing that I love, it’s a really good play. Now, I don’t get to go and see a ton of them, but I really jump on the opportunity when I can. So when I heard from my husband that he was planning on taking me to New York for our anniversary this summer, I demanded that we go and see a Broadway play. It ends up that he was planning on taking me to one of them anyway.

We ended up seeing the Mary Poppins Broadway version and brought me back to when I was a little girl and saw the movie for the first time. It was so entertaining and I loved hearing all the songs I recognized from the movie performed on the stage.

Even when I can’t relate to the problems a person has on the show, I usually find some words of wisdom spoken by Dr. Phil during the course of the show. It’s something that personally helps me to see the ways I can improve my own life and increase my own happiness. It doesn’t always work but I usually give some serious thought to using the techniques described by Dr. Phil.

While Dr. Phil might not be a miracle worker, he’s a very likable and cool talk show host that I plan to watch for as long as his show is on the air.

I have gone to a lot of shows, sporting events, concerts in my life.  And without fail, the most organized and safest ones have always been the ones with the best crowd control methods.  The crowd control methods do not have to be abrasive, and I am not talking about the big bouncers or security guards that always seem to have a chip on their shoulders.  Simple things like stanchions (better known as velvet rope) is often good enough and effective enough for most people and crowds.

We went on a family vacation to Canada during the holidays and had a blast visiting all the friends and family we have there.
