Helping Others
Post contributed by Josue Durham
Dr. Phil first became known to the public when he appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show many years ago. This downhome, likable psychologist quickly became a household name and won his own show. During that show, he helps many people with their addiction and relationship issues. People around the world tune in to see Dr. Phil work his brand of magic on people that truly need the caring and help that he provides. His show even pays for treatment. It’s something that I find touching and take as a sign that humanity is never “all bad.” There are people out there willing to help and Dr. Phil is one of those people.
The show plays frequently on my satellite television(http://www.direc4u.com) and whenever there’s an episode on, I’m glued to it. Even when I can’t relate to the problems a person has on the show, I usually find some words of wisdom spoken by Dr. Phil during the course of the show. It’s something that personally helps me to see the ways I can improve my own life and increase my own happiness. It doesn’t always work but I usually give some serious thought to using the techniques described by Dr. Phil.
While Dr. Phil might not be a miracle worker, he’s a very likable and cool talk show host that I plan to watch for as long as his show is on the air.
